Track Your Progress

Once you have joined a challenge, OuiRace lets you track your progress toward the goal in real time. Progress is displayed in a visual and intuitive way to keep you motivated throughout the challenge.

The Progress Bar

Each challenge you participate in displays a progress bar showing the percentage of the goal achieved. This bar updates automatically with each new counted activity.

The progress bar shows:

  • The percentage reached: for example, 45% of the goal.
  • The current value: the total of your activities (e.g., 90 km covered).
  • The total goal: the target to reach (e.g., 200 km).
Stay consistent

Progress is cumulative. Regular activities are better than a single big effort. Consistency helps you reach your goal and motivates your donors.

Types of Tracked Goals

Depending on the type of challenge, progress is calculated differently:

Distance goal (km)

For performance challenges with a kilometer goal, each recorded sports activity adds its distance to your total. For example, a 10 km run brings you 10 km closer to your goal.

Duration goal (hours)

For challenges measured in hours, the duration of each activity is counted. A 1h30 cycling session adds 1.5 hours to your progress.

Fundraising goal (EUR)

For pure fundraising challenges, progress corresponds to the total amount of donations received. Each donation made by you or your supporters advances the bar.

Sources of Progress

Automatic activities (connected devices)

If you have connected Strava or Garmin to your OuiRace account, your activities are automatically synchronized and counted in your active challenges. No manual action is needed.

Automatic synchronization

Activities synchronized from Strava or Garmin are typically counted within minutes of being recorded in the original app. See the Activity Synchronization guide for more details.

Viewing Your Progress

You can track your progress from several places:

  1. Challenge page: access the challenge from the challenge list or from your profile. The progress bar is displayed at the top of the page.
  2. My profile: the Challenges section of your profile lists all your active challenges with their progress.
  3. Notifications: OuiRace sends you notifications when you reach important milestones (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
Activities outside the period

Only activities completed during the challenge period are counted. Activities before the challenge start date or after the end date are not taken into account.

Goal Reached: What Happens Next?

When you reach 100% of your goal:

  • A congratulations notification is sent to you.
  • Your achievement is visible on your profile.
  • You can continue accumulating activities beyond the goal -- nothing stops you from exceeding the target.
  • Depending on the challenge, additional badges or XP may be unlocked (see Badge System).
