Sharing Feature
Spreading your campaign page is essential to reaching your fundraising goals. OuiRace includes sharing tools adapted to each device to make it easy to distribute your campaigns.
Sharing on mobile (Web Share API)
On mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), OuiRace uses the Web Share API, the browser's native sharing system. When a visitor taps the share button:
- The phone's native share menu opens
- The visitor can choose from all installed apps: WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS, email, Instagram, etc.
- The campaign page link is pre-filled and ready to send

Sharing via the phone's native share menu is the most effective method: it provides all the options available on the visitor's device, without needing to integrate each social network individually.
Sharing on desktop (copy link)
On desktop browsers that don't support the Web Share API, a fallback mechanism is provided:
- The visitor clicks the share button
- The campaign page link is copied to the clipboard
- A notification confirms that the link has been copied
- The visitor can then paste the link wherever they want (email, social network, messaging)

Link copying is a universal mechanism that works on all desktop browsers, regardless of the user's configuration.
What to share?
You can share the campaign page which includes all your active challenges. The shared link is the public URL of your campaign:
https://ouirace.com/campaign/:orgSlug/:campaignSlug
This link leads directly to your campaign page with:
- Your organization branding (logo, name, description)
- Your list of active challenges
- Action buttons to donate or participate
Sharing on social media
To maximize your campaign's visibility, share the link on your social networks:
| Network | Tip |
|---|---|
| Post the link with engaging text and an image from your campaign | |
| Add the link to your bio or in a story (with link) | |
| Twitter/X | Share the link with a short, punchy message |
| Ideal for professional or corporate sponsorship campaigns | |
| Send the link directly to your contacts and groups |
When you share your campaign link on social media, the page's SEO metadata (title, description, image) is automatically used to generate an attractive link preview.
Sharing best practices
For best results:
- Share regularly: don't limit yourself to a single post. Remind people about your campaign multiple times
- Personalize the message: adapt the accompanying text to the channel and target audience
- Show progress: share key milestones (50% of goal reached, new participant record, etc.)
- Involve your participants: encourage them to share their own fundraising page with their network
Avoid sharing just the bare link without context. Always accompany the link with a message explaining the cause and the goal of your campaign.
