Supported Sports

OuiRace supports several types of sports for tracking your activities. Whether your activities are automatically synchronized from Strava or Garmin, they must match one of the sports recognized by the platform.

Here is the full list of supported sports on OuiRace. Each sport has its own icon in the interface for quick visual identification.

Mapping with Strava and Garmin

When your activities are automatically synchronized, OuiRace maps the sport type detected by Strava or Garmin to the categories listed above.

Automatic mapping

In the vast majority of cases, the mapping is seamless. For example, a "Run" activity on Strava becomes "Running" on OuiRace, and a "Trail Run" activity on Garmin becomes "Trail Running".

If your watch records a sport under a different type than the one you actually practiced, you can correct the sport type directly in Strava or Garmin before synchronization. The change will be picked up by OuiRace.

Check the sport type on your watch

Some GPS watches offer very specific sport profiles (for example "Treadmill Run" or "Mountain Biking"). These subcategories are automatically grouped into OuiRace's main categories. A "Treadmill Run" will be counted as "Running".

Sports and Challenges

Challenges on OuiRace can be configured in two ways by organizers:

Multi-sport challenges

Some challenges accept all supported sports. In this case, every activity, regardless of sport, contributes to your progress.

Challenges restricted to specific sports

Other challenges only count certain specific sports. For example, a running challenge may only accept activities of the "Running" and "Trail Running" types.

Check eligible sports before joining

Before joining a challenge, review the challenge rules to see which sports are accepted. If you mainly cycle and the challenge only accepts running, your activities will not count toward your progress.
