Challenge Types
OuiRace offers several types of challenges to support different fundraising strategies. Each type combines athletic activity and donations in a distinct way.
Fundraising challenge
The fundraising challenge is focused exclusively on donations. The goal is expressed as a euro amount (for example: raise 5,000 EUR).
- Participants mobilize their network to collect donations
- Progress is measured by the total amount raised
- No athletic performance is required

This type of challenge is ideal for organizations that want to focus on financial mobilization without requiring athletic effort from their participants.
Performance challenge
The performance challenge combines an athletic goal with a fundraising goal. The objective can be expressed in:
- Kilometers (km): distance to cover (running, cycling, swimming, etc.)
- Hours (h): cumulative activity time
Participants must both reach their athletic goal and mobilize donations.

Performance challenges often generate more engagement because they offer participants a personal challenge on top of the charitable cause.
Individual challenge
The individual challenge is completed by a single person. Each participant has their own goal and progresses independently.
- Personal goal defined by the challenge
- Individual progress visible on the participant's page
- Personal fundraising page for each participant
Team challenge
The team challenge allows a group of participants to join forces to reach a shared goal.
- Goal shared by all team members
- Cumulative progress: each activity contributes to the group's advancement
- Collaborative dynamic that encourages participation
The team challenge feature is currently under development. Some features may be limited. Contact support for more information on availability.
Possible combinations
The types can be combined. For example, you can create:
| Combination | Description |
|---|---|
| Individual fundraising | Each participant collects donations for their own counter |
| Individual performance | Each participant has a km/hour goal and a fundraising page |
| Team performance | A team shares a common athletic goal and a shared fundraising page |
Choosing the right type
To select the most suitable challenge type, ask yourself these questions:
- Is athletic activity central? If yes, go with a performance challenge.
- Are participants acting alone or in a group? Choose between individual and team.
- What goal is most motivating for your community? Euros, kilometers, or hours.
