PPS Tracking
The PPS (Pass Prevention Sante) is a program by the French Athletics Federation that certifies a participant's fitness for competitive sports. PPS tracking is an essential part of ensuring your event's compliance.
What is the PPS?
The Pass Prevention Sante is a medical questionnaire that replaces the medical certificate for events in France. It verifies that each participant:
- Completes the health questionnaire required by French regulations.
- Certifies their fitness to participate in a sporting event.
- Is in compliance with the regulatory requirements for racing in France.
The PPS is required for races organized in France. For races outside of France, the PPS is not necessary and can be set to "Not required." More information on the official website: pps.athle.fr.
PPS statuses
Each participant has one of the following four PPS statuses:
| Status | Label | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| verified | Verified | The PPS has been submitted and validated. The participant is compliant. |
| pending | Pending | The PPS has been submitted but has not yet been validated by the organizer. |
| missing | Missing | The participant has not yet submitted their PPS. Action is required. |
| not_required | Not required | The PPS is not necessary for this participant (based on race configuration). |

Viewing PPS tracking
- Open your race from the organizer dashboard.
- Go to the "Participants" tab.
- The "PPS Status" column displays each participant's status.
Filtering by PPS status
Use the PPS filter above the table to display only participants with a specific status:
- Click the "PPS Status" filter.
- Select the desired status (Verified, Pending, Missing, Not required).
- The table updates instantly.
As the race approaches, filter by "Missing" to identify participants who have not yet submitted their PPS. You can then contact them to remind them of this requirement.
Reviewing a pending PPS
When a participant submits their PPS, it moves to "Pending" status. To validate it:
- Click on the participant whose PPS is pending.
- Review the submitted document.
- Approve or reject the PPS.
PPS verification is a manual action by the organizer. Make sure to process pending PPS regularly, especially in the days leading up to the race.
Summary table
At the top of the Participants section, a PPS summary gives you an overview:
| Indicator | Description |
|---|---|
| Verified PPS | Number and percentage of compliant participants |
| Pending PPS | Number of PPS to process |
| Missing PPS | Number of participants who haven't submitted a PPS |
| Not required PPS | Number of exempt participants |
Best practices
- Communicate early: inform participants about the PPS requirement in your pre-race communications.
- Set a deadline: ask participants to submit their PPS at least one week before the race.
- Process regularly: don't let pending PPS pile up.
- Export for review: use the Excel export to get an offline view of each participant's PPS status.
