Friends and Followers Mobile app

The OuiRace mobile app includes a full social system that lets you connect with other athletes. Two types of relationships exist: friends (mutual connection) and following (one-way follow).

Friends

Friendship on OuiRace is bidirectional: both people must accept the connection.

Send a friend request

  1. Go to a user's profile (from the news feed, a ranking, or the friend search).
  2. Tap the Add as friend button.
  3. The user receives a friend request notification.

Accept or decline a request

  1. Open your notifications (bell icon).
  2. Find the friend request you received.
  3. Tap Accept or Decline.

Remove a friend

  1. Go to the friend's profile.
  2. Tap the relationship management button.
  3. Confirm the removal.

Following

Following is one-directional: you can follow someone without them needing to accept.

Follow a user

  1. Go to the user's profile.
  2. Tap Follow.

Unfollow

Find friends

The app offers several methods to find and add friends:

  1. Go to Find friends from your profile.
  2. Select the Contacts tab.
  3. Allow access to your contacts if prompted.
  4. The app identifies contacts already registered on OuiRace.
  5. Add them as friends directly from the list.

  2. Connect your social network account.
  3. The app finds your contacts who use OuiRace.
  4. Send friend requests with a single tap.
Privacy

OuiRace never posts on your social networks and only accesses your contact list for friend search purposes. You can revoke access at any time.

Impact on the news feed

Your connections influence what you see:

  • Friends' media with "Friends" visibility appear in your feed
  • Public media from everyone appear in the general feed
  • You can share a media item directly with a friend
