Designate as a Charity Race

Charity races on OuiRace let you link a sports event to a fundraising campaign for a nonprofit organization. Participants can make a donation during registration, and a charity badge is displayed on the race card.

Enable charity mode​

  1. Open your race from the organizer dashboard.
  2. Go to the race settings.
  3. Enable the "Charity race" option.
  4. Select the beneficiary organization from the provided list.

Partner organization

The organization must be registered in the OuiRace system. If your organization is not in the list, contact OuiRace support to request its addition.

How it works for participants​

When a participant registers for a charity race, the registration flow includes an additional step:

  1. Format selection: the participant chooses their distance and price.
  2. Donation step: an invitation to donate to the organization is presented.
  3. Open amount: the participant chooses the amount of their donation (optional).
  4. Payment: the registration fee and any donation are paid together.
Donations are optional

A donation is never mandatory. The participant can skip this step and register for the race only. The goal is to encourage generosity without imposing it.

Charity badge​

When your race is designated as a charity race, a charity badge is automatically displayed:

  • On the race card in the event list.
  • On the detail page of the race.
  • In search results.

This badge helps participants easily identify races with a charitable component.

Donation tracking​

From your dashboard, you can view:

Collected donations are transferred directly to the partner organization according to the terms agreed with OuiRace. See the terms of use for details on the disbursement process.

Disable charity mode​

You can disable the charity option at any time:

  1. Go to the race settings.
  2. Disable the "Charity race" option.
  3. The badge is removed and the donation step no longer appears for future registrations.
Existing donations

Donations already made by participants are not canceled if you disable charity mode. They remain recorded and will be transferred to the organization.
