Location

Choose the event type

OuiRace offers three event types:

  • Competitive: a standard race with rankings and timing.
  • Charity: a charitable race linked to a fundraising campaign. See Designate as a charity race for details.
  • Championship 2026 (Championship-2026): a specific format for official championships of the 2026 season.

Select activity types

Each race must be associated with one or more sports activity types:

Multi-sport

You can select multiple activities if your event combines different disciplines (for example, a triathlon or duathlon).

Define the race mode

The race mode determines how participants will complete the course:

  • GPS tracked: participants use the OuiRace app to record their route via GPS. Ideal for virtual races or multi-day challenges.
  • In-person: a traditional race with a physical start. Timing is managed on-site.
  • Both: combines both modes. Participants can choose to race on-site or remotely.
GPS tracked mode

If you choose GPS tracked mode, make sure your participants have downloaded the OuiRace app before race day. Remember to include this instruction in your communications.

Validate and continue

Once the form is completed, click "Create" to save your race. It will be created with the draft status.
