Manage Formats

A format represents a variant of your race: a specific distance, price, and activity type. Each race can offer multiple formats to accommodate participants of different levels.

What is a format?

For example, for a running event, you could offer:

Format	Distance	Price	Activity
Discovery	5 km	15 EUR	Running
Classic	10 km	25 EUR	Running
Half-marathon	21 km	35 EUR	Running

Each format works as a separate registration: a participant registers for a specific format.

Add a format

1. Open your race from the organizer dashboard.
2. Go to the "Formats" tab.
3. Click "Add a format".
4. Fill in the following fields:

Field	Required	Description
Format name	Yes	Label displayed to participants (e.g. "10K Competitive")
Distance	Yes	Course distance
Distance type	Yes	5K, 10K, 21K, 42K, or custom
Price	Yes	Registration fee in euros (EUR)
Activity type	Yes	Running, trail, walking, cycling, etc.

5. Click "Save".

Custom distances

If your race does not match the standard distances (5K, 10K, 21K, 42K), select the "Custom" type and enter the exact distance in kilometers.

Available distance types

OuiRace offers the following distance types:

• 5K: 5 kilometers -- ideal for discovery and family races.
• 10K: 10 kilometers -- a popular format for regular runners.
• 21K: 21.1 kilometers (half-marathon) -- for experienced runners.
• 42K: 42.195 kilometers (marathon) -- for advanced runners.
• Custom: any other distance of your choice.

Edit an existing format

1. In the "Formats" tab, find the format you want to edit.
2. Click the edit icon.
3. Update the desired fields.
4. Click "Save".

Participants already registered

If participants have already registered for a format, be careful when changing the price or distance. Existing registrations will not be affected, but future registrations will use the new values.

Delete a format

You can delete a format as long as no participants are registered for it. To delete a format:

1. Click the delete icon next to the format.
2. Confirm the deletion in the dialog box.

Currency

The default currency on OuiRace is the euro (EUR). All format prices are displayed in euros.
